On arrival at Cochin airport, our representative will meet you and transfer to a chauffeur driven vehicle. Later you are driven to the hotel for check in. After breakfast, proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Cochin. Visit the Dutch Palace in Mattanchery. Walk down to Jew Street which is famous for the Jewish Synagogue and Jew Town. You have some free time in the Jew Street. It is fascinating & vibrant Narrow Streets with many shops selling handicrafts, souvenirs, Antiques & Ethnic Garments. Later proceed to Fort Kochi and visit Famous Chinese fishing nets. Visit St. Francis Church, the first European church built in India in the early 16th century and the famed Vasco Da Gama was buried in this courtyard..(Jewish Synagogue - Open: 10.00 am –12.00pm, 3.00pm –5.00pm. Closed on Friday /Saturday & Jewish holidays) (Dutch Palace - Open: 10.00am – 5.00pm. Closed on Fridays) . Afternoon enjoy a Harbour cruise in Cochin backwaters. This orientation cruise takes you through Fort Cochin, Mattanchery, islands of Vypin, vallarpadam and the main city Ernakulam. After disembarking from cruise, in the evening drive to a cultural centre to enjoy Kathakali dance performance - the traditional dance form of Kerala (the art of storytelling through dance). Literally means ‘story play’, it is a highly stylized classical Indian dance-drama noted for the attractive make-up of characters, elaborate costumes, detailed gestures and well-defined body movements presented in tune with the anchor playback music and complementary percussion. Originated in Kerala during the 17th century and has developed over the years with improved looks, refined gestures and added themes besides more ornate singing and precise drumming the themes of this dance drama are religious in nature. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady. Situated within the confines of the Western Ghats in the southern Indian state of Kerala, Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the most captivating wildlife parks in the world. The picturesque lake in the heart of the sanctuary was originally 26 sq km but now spans an area of 55 sq km. This perennial source of water, which initially led to the submersion of large tracts of forestland, slowly attracted wild animals. It eventually resulted in the adjoining forests being granted protection. Post-1975 Periyar finds itself in the enviable position of being a protected tiger reserve. The terrain ranges from hilly to flat grassland areas at the edges of the lakes. Arrive at Thekkady and check in to the hotel. Evening enjoy Kalarippayattu, known as the mother of all martial arts, Kalaripayattu originated in ancient South India is a Dravidian martial art from the Indian state of Kerala. One of the oldest fighting systems in existence, it is practiced in Kerala and by the Nadars, Ezhavas as well as Mappilas and Syrian Malabar Nazarani. Kalarippayattu includes strikes, kicks, grappling, preset forms, weaponry and healing methods. Regional variants are classified according to geographical position in Kerala; these are the northern style of the Malayalis, the southern style of the Tamils and the central style from inner Kerala. Northern Kalarippayatt is based on the principle of hard technique, while the southern style primarily follows the soft techniques, even though both systems make use of internal and external concepts. Start your day with an early morning boating at Periyar Lake, which encircles the famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary. This cruise offers better chances of spotting wildlife such as elephants, gaurs and bison’s along the serene lake, in close quarters on the safety of the boat. A camera and a pair of binoculars are highly recommended accessories. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later enjoy half an hour Elephant safari, and participate activities like timber dragging, bath & shower, feeding & photo session etc. After lunch proceed for a 3 hours jeep safari to enjoy agricultural farm tour and sightseeing. Enjoy the panoramic view of Tamil Nadu and see commercial plantations of Cardamom, Pepper, Coffee ….etc and you can see the processing of Cardamom. Spice plantation tour is in one of the most important activities outside the reserve that a visitor can engage in. It is an opportunity to see why the Kerala cuisine is so different from most of the other Indian cuisines. The tour gives you a chance to enjoy cardamom, pepper, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and many other varieties of Spices and medicinal plants. Overnight, stay at Thekkady.

Check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey. Arrive at Alleppey and board the houseboat at noon for a backwater cruise and for an overnight stay. While cruising in these floating luxury-villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual - skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed-down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. At night, stay in houseboat.

Disembark from the houseboat at Alleppey at 0900hrs after a refreshing breakfast onboard. Your vehicle will pick you at Alleppey and drive to Mararikulam. On arrival, you check in at the Beach resort. Rest of the day you are at leisure to explore the resort and the village of Mararikulam.
